Stampin’ Scrap Retreat

Well I made it home yesterday around 6pm from an awesome weekend of scrapping.  It went really well with lots of layouts done and challenges completed.  Lots of prizes from the sponsors that were given out.  We all arrived on Friday, found a bed for the weekend, set up tables and the kitchen for the weekend and then everyone got into scrapping. Saturday afternoon there were some high winds with a power cut to follow. Luckly the power cut only lasted an hour but some were scrapping by candle light.  Saturday afternoon we did the class designed by Jo Burney. This is the layout that Jo designed for us all….

 

There was a problem with getting some of the papers in time from the sponsor so we had to used other paper for it which still turned out great.  Check out what everyone did….

On Saturday night we had a little fun for those who wanted to ‘Scrap your Hat’. Everyone was given a bag of bits and they all had to Scrap their hat. They could add other things to it if they wanted and here is the photo….

 

This was the group that took part in this and it was alot of fun and lots of laugh’s had by all.

Thanks to everyone who come and made it a wonderful weekend away. Thanks to everyone who help with things at the retreat, made alot of things easier. Hope you all had a awesome time and hope to see you all at Stampin’ Scrap Retreat 2009.

It’s here….

The day has arrived to head to the retreat.  The car is all packed and loaded to the top. The only space left is the drivers seat….LOL!!!! Class kits – check, challenges – check, goodie bags – check, prizes – check, scrappy stuff – check, bag – check, food – check. I think I am ready.

Everyone coming to the retreat have a safe trip and for the rest of you have a fab weekend and will update on my return.

A couple of months ago I ask for some sponsorship from Fiskars and didn’t hear back but today a parcel was delivered to my door with some very cool products from Fiskars including Heidi Grace papers.

LOOK!

Just keeping you all updated about the goings on for the retreat. An email will be sent out later tonight. The goodie bags are half done, just waiting on a few items to arrive for them. Challenges are set, prizes are sorted, food is sorted, paper work is done and we are just about ready.  15 more sleeps to go and we can all relax.

 

 

Sneak Peek!

Ok, I have got the photo of the layout that you will all be doing at the retreat. The layout is great, Thanks Jo! Here is a sneak peek of the layout. 

 

This is a Christmas layout so Christmas photos are required but an email will be sent out over the next few days of what is needed.  This is a very cool layout and it’s using some new Christmas products sponsored by Scrapbook Art.

We had more goodies arrive last week and more to come this week.  Photos of the goodies will got up once all are here.

1 month and counting

There is only 4 weeks to go before we are sitting scrapping, eating, sleeping for 3-4 days. Now that sounds bliss, doesnt’ it? 

Things are coming together nicely for Stampin’ Scraps first retreat. Lots of sponsors and challenges for the weekend.

No rules for this, but you might want to think outside the square!- just create a name tag for yourself – Then I will pick the most creative and we will give a prize at the retreat.

Scrap your Hat!

On the Saturday night we are having a little fun with ‘Scrap your Hat’. Everyone is to bring a hat to scrap.  You can find cheap hats at the $2 Shop, Spotlight or The Warehouse that would work for this.  It’s Halloween that weekend so why not have some fun just like the kids would.

This is not compulsory but if you join in the fun you could win a prize.

 

You will all be given a bag of things that you can use on your hat but you can also use your own stuff to do this. 

Jo Burney’s class sneak peak is coming later this week.

Ok, this is the competition that I was talking about to the forum.  I’m setting this early so it gives everyone plenty of time to do this.
