2009 retreat is over!

Well Mt Hutt Retreat 2009 is over for another year. We all had a great time away with lots of laughs, scrapbooking and some even got in the spa.

 

Just wanted to share some of the classes, challenges etc that happened over the weekend.

First up we had a hybrid scrapbook layout done c/- Janine at DigiRosa

These are my takes on it…

 

Thanks Janine for teaching us hybrid scrapbooking, I will be doing it again for sure.

Second we did a class designed by Nic Howard and as Nic couldn’t be at the retreat this year we had the lovely Belinda teaching us Nic’s class. 

Here is my take on her layout….

Just needs journally and it’s finished.

We also on the Saturday did a make and take sponsored by Stampin’ Scrap. A fabric mini album. Everyone loved making it and was happy how it all came together. 

And Janine did a couple of pages as samples for everyone to get an idea of what to do with it.

 

One challenge we had was to create a layout with one colour but could be different shades of that one colour and this layout Bee has done with different shades of grey.  I must say grey wouldn’t normally be a colour I would choose but Bee has done a great job and I love it….

And this is Janine’s take on the challenge. WTG guys!

Not long to go now

Well, it’s not long till we head to Mt Hutt Retreat for our second retreat. I know I am hanging out for a weekend away and away from all the males in the house…LOL!!! Love them to bits but with being the only female in the house it’s time for a break…

 

I have been busy sorting this and that for the retreat as haven’t been around much.  So for those of you coming to the retreat remember your warm clothes and bedding.  It’s cold here in Christchurch so I’m guessing it will be colder at Mt Hutt. Janine, I have your bedding aside for you and you will be warm so don’t stress….LOL!!!

 

I have sent out info to those people coming but if for any reason you didn’t get it let me know and I will resend it for you.

3 weeks to go!

Mt Hutt retreat is only 3 weeks away so I guess you are all thinking of what to pack and take. I know some of you aren’t sure what to pack and I’m the same. I said to Sarah last night that I needed to think about what I’m taking as I couldn’t take everything. She looked behind me at all my CRAP!!!! and laughed…..LOL!!! So I guess I will have to have a wee think and plan what I am taking. 

 

I am just waiting on a few things before I send a updated email to you all.

Name tag competition!

At the last retreat we ran a name tag competition and we are doing it again for this retreat. 

Last year it was by vote from everyone at the retreat and we will do that again. 

So…

Name Tag Competition

 

No rules for this, but you might want to think outside the square!- just create a name tag for yourself – Then a vote by everyone at the retreat will pick the one they think is the best and the one with most votes will win.

Any one coming that came to the last retreat might want to make a new name tag to be into win.

Get creative and look forward to seeing everyones name tag.

Some exciting news to share with you all.  No Nic isn’t coming to camp (which is a shame) but part of the retreat is a Nic Howard class kit.  At this stage there are no sneak peaks to share but they will come.  Nic was looking at coming but can’t fit the retreat in this year.  Maybe another time!

We still have spaces available so if you wish to come let me know and a registration forum will be sent out to you. We have spaces for 30 so if you know of a friend or sister that is keen there is room.
